A perfect day off
I just had the most perfect day off! I think the apathy I was feeling after selling the house has Finally worn off.
I'm no longer sleepy all the time. Though an Afternoon nap is still a wonderful thing!
I started off my day at 4:15 am. I am sure I actually looked a bit like Drowsy to the left!
I had a yummy Peanut butter English Muffin and coffee, walked the dog, and then went back to sleep for an hour. I was alittle concerned as there seemed to be some thunder on occasion, and what appeared to be Heat lightening, so rain seemed to be on the horizon.
Luckily, it didn't really rain, so at 6:30 I finally motivated myself to go running. I first encountered a guy who must go to work at 6:30 ish. he cheered my drowsy face by telling me "Seeing you every day is motivating me to work out too!" Ha ha.
Well,it was not as beautiful and dramatic as this work of art, but hey, the moon was still out for a little.
My run was improved from the last time, and i seem to be starting to enjoy running again. I started to train with someone else and immediately got very stressed about Miles, times, stats, etc. So, when I got a cold, I took a week and a half off and adjusted my perspective. No more fussing about stats for a while.
After my run, I had another walk with Teulu the semi wonder dog... and then I stuck both feet into a bucket of ice water with ice, yowza, but its working.
This Summer, I started using Comfortis for Teulu to combat the Florida Fleas. Have had No issues since.
So I highly reccommend the Comfortis tablet to anyone living in a flea-y area.... works great.
Eventually I headed out to the gym. THe gym workout wasn't that fun, but I did do it, and then the Pool....
(Cues choral Music)
Ok so I do not so synchronized swimming, but I felt just like this photo. The pool was a perfect temperature, cold enoughto be refreshing, but not cold like it was in February. Clear, and the blue sky and sunshine made it so perfectly pleasant. Usually when I swim in Florida, I am either right after a rain, IN the rain, or trying to beat a thunderstorm. SO this was great.
Then I went home and had a really nice Turkey Burger.
1 pound ground turkey
1 tablespoon McCormick® Grill Mates® Montreal Chicken Seasoning or 1 tablespoon McCormick®25% Grill Mates® Less Sodium Montreal Chicken Seasoning
4 hamburger rolls
1. Mix ground turkey and Chicken Seasoning in medium bowl until well blended. Shape into 4 patties.
2. Grill over medium heat 4 to 6 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F). Toast rolls on the grill, open-side down, about 30 seconds.3. Serve burgers on toasted rolls. Garnish with desired toppings and condiments.

Tell me more about this Comfortis flea stuff. Where can I find it? Does it treat for ticks, too? Teulu is such a pretty dog. Does he still have a favorite brick or two?
Sounds like you had a perfect day. I hope to have a perfect weekend: weeding the flower beds, edging the yard, repotting a plant, cleaning, dusting, vaccuuming the house, laundry and maybe a nap thrown in. Saturday will be topped off with grilled steak and shrimp; Chris already has it marinating. YUM! and Sunday will be topped off with a nice huge yummy green salad with grilled chicken thrown on top. More YUM!!
The comfortis is a tablet, once a month. For 85 pounds of Teulu its about 15 bucks a tablet, but to get rid of fleas that were plaguing him its totally worth it. I got it at the vet. It only does fleas. Too bad they cant have it do ticks and also heartworm....
but it really works, no applications of frontline o r anything worked for me, and now I have a dog with less greasy fur!
Wow, the steak and shrimp sounds great!!! have a good weekend.
